What is PADI Elearning

PADI elearning is the ultimate in simple, on-line diver training, with easy to follow interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics, and reading in a number of different languages.

Along the way, short quizzes let you measure your progress and understanding, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you fully learn and understand the program at your own pace.

Scuba diving eLearning courses are designed to suit your busy schedule and is very easy-to-use, anywhere you have a computer and internet access.

Complete the course(s) on your schedule, with no designated classroom times or places to meet.

And if you are going on a scuba diving vacation to warm or cool waters, you don't want to be stuck in a classroom learning how to scuba dive!!

PADI Elearning courses keep track of your progress and automatically returns you to where you were last session.

Once you complete the eLearning course, you are able to print out your eRecord and bring it to your selected qualified PADI dive store or qualified scuba diving resort where you will then complete the in-water portion of your dive certification.

Three of the more popular eLearning dive options and courses include the following programs:

PADI Open Water eLearning Course

The PADI Open Water Diver course is easily the world's most popular scuba license certification course.

Once completed (on-line or classroom theory and five confined water dives and four open water dives), you will be a certified entry-level diver able to rent dive gear, get air fills, and dive anywhere in the world with better or similar conditions to those you've trained in.

Another great reason why it is best to learn how to dive in British Columbia since our conditions require superior training!!

The eLearning portion of the program will cost you around USD$120, and will take around 12-15 hours in total to complete.

Once you are enrolled, you have one year to complete the course. However you will have perpetual access to the ebook version of the PADI Open Water Diver manual.

Once you complete the eLearning portion of your Open Water Diver course, you will just need to complete your Confined Water (pool) Dives and Open Water (lake or ocean) Dives, and you are ready to experience the amazing underwater world.

Again, working with your tight schedule, we can set you up with some fantastic private dive lessons in Vancouver or on the Sunshine Coast to complete your course as well.

PADI Advanced Diver eLearning Course

Another very popular PADI eLearning course is the Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

As with the Open Water course above, you move through the on-line program at your own pace (around 8 hours) and then print out your Referral sheet once you complete the course and take it to a licensed PADI training center to complete the course.

Or contact us to arrange for a private divemaster/dive instructor to quickly and efficiently help you complete the course on your schedule.

To be certified as an Advanced Diver once your on-line training is complete, you will need to successfully complete at least 5 open water Adventure Dives.

Two are mandatory - the Deep Adventure Dive and the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive. The other three can be chosen from a selection of specialty dives, based on your preference and what is availabble at the dive center or private dive instructor is able to offer.

The PADI Advanced Diver Elearning Course costs around $120 USD or $130 CDN and you can easily enroll by clicking the link.

The fee covers the knowledge development training as well as unlimited access to the PADI Adventures in Diving on-line manual. The PADI dive shop/resort/instructor will charge an additional fee for the in-water portion of your training, and can also help arrange your rental equipment needs.

Contact us if you would like a referral to our recommended dive shop or dive instructor to complete your course.

PADI Enriched Air Diver eLearning Course

Air hog!!! That's me - I want to stay under longer but I go through the air too fast!! Help??

Help is on the way with our third recommended PADI eLearning course, the PADI Enriched Air Specialty Course, which is one of PADI's most popular specialties.

Diving with enriched air extends your time underwater - longer than with regular air. You only need to be an Open Water Diver to enroll and you don't even need to complete a dive to be certified!

After completing the on-line Enriched Air course (it's around $195 USD or $200 CDN), you just need to complete a Quick Review, a Practical Application session, and either two enriched air training dives or predive simulations with an authorized PADI trainer.

Theoretically you don't even need to dive to complete this course, but then again isn't the whole reason for upgrading so you can dive more often in more places around the world.

Contact us if you need a local B.C. dive shop or trainer to complete your Enriched Air program.
